Hey people out there...
I've been working at Easy Spirit in Napa since February 21st. My benefits are in and that's a good thing!
Shamoo was put to sleep February 23rd. He had feline AIDS and the bone in one of his legs was snapped in half. :(
Joshua and I moved to an apartment on March 2nd. At first it was like camping. We stayed downstairs on an airmatress. Moving was horrible.
My Uncle Bryan died sometime around April 10th. We have no official cause of death... just that he was fighting off a terrible case of bronchitis [irritated by the fact that he never cleaned house and it was coated in dust and dog fur], he was electricuted while working on a pool two days prior to death [which can permanently damage the heart], and he had sleep apnea [sp?]. The last heard of him was him snoring. Grandma demanded to see a picture of him, and she said he looked like he was peacefully asleep. Thank goodness. I miss him so much.
Besides all that, I am battling with the police to actually investigate my identity theft and fraud. If I have to spend the rest of my life dealing with the reprocussions, they could at least pretend like they want to help.
Wow, this is turning out to be depressing...
I was going to go camping, but the bill to fix my car turned out to be huge. Instead, I'm going to see Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers in Santa Rosa on August 8th, and Howie Day with Anna Nalick at the Fillmore on August 11th. I'll remember my earplugs!

Oh look, I'm venturing out into a public journal!
http://www.salyx.net/ is updated with a new section. I am selling blessed stones to make a little moving money.
Speaking of moving, the boyfriend and I are applying for an apartment in Napa on Monday... same day I start my new job down there as assistant manager of Easy Spirit shoes. The less I have to commute, the better!
All this real world stuff is insane, I am not sure how to keep up. Just look back at me when I started this journal... things are changing FAST!

I'm really sorry to subject you guys to this, but I really need some advice!
I won an autographed lithograph [signed by Ozzy and 3/4 the members of Coal Chamber] from UBL.com in 2000, and have been saving it for when I needed extra money. I have looked on eBay, and there are no items like this up. Also, autographed Ozzy items are not going for much... if at all. Do you think it is wise to take the risk and put it up with no reference?

Holy crap, Klunk is the silliest kitty!
For the record: She does not talk. She opens her mouth sometimes, but nothing comes out. Also, all this time I had been accusing Orc of hoarding things under my bed and behind the speaker.
About two hours ago I heard a slight racket in my room. It was a scuffling noise under my bed. I decided to leave it alone. I was sitting on the couch, and I hear: "Mrrr? Mew? Mrrrrrew?" I look over, and Klunk is happily trotting out of my room with a big white scrunchie in her mouth! She took it to the floor under the TV and proudly plopped it down and began playing with it. I laughed at her silliness. I told her, "I guess Orc isn't the one who stole the bathtub stopper and put it under my bed!" She gave me a funny look.
I have since been playing with her with rolled up newspapers and such. She has been running around the house like a nutcase.
Just a few minutes ago I sat down to watch TV. Again, I heard her mewing in questions. I look over, and she has a gold stuffed alien in her mouth! She walked proudly out of my room with it, and deposited it in the bathtub! Then she did a little dance around it, muttering "Mrrr... Mrrr..." to herself.
I don't know what happened to my mute cat... she won't shut up now!

I know I am overly critical, and they are just commercials, but I have to vent.
I was enjoying Touching Evil a few nights ago, and I could not ignore the stupid hotels.com commercials they played pretty frequently.
The Tape Measure: There is one where a woman has the "0" end of the tape measure. She walks it up some stairs, then without a word she lets it go. A doorman has it... only consider that he has the end where you would actually look to find out how far away the hotel is from wherever the woman was. How is he supposed to know when to look at the number? This tape measure is shown dragging all the way back to him for no reason, as the measurement was obviously not noted.
The Sunburn: A man walks into a hotel over and over, each time his sunburn is worse. Turns out he works checking the pools at every hotel, right? By the end of the commercial, his sunglasses and watch have left quite the white marks on his red skin. Well, they show him in the pool on the last shot... not wearing sunglasses or a watch. How would those places be white unless he wore said objects in the sun?
I know, I know: IGNORE THEM!
